The lake, the piers and the trail
Every year on the third full weekend of July, Lake View holds the Black Hawk Lake Summer Water Carnival. The historic Stone Piers on the shore are on the National Register of Historic Places.
The Sauk Rail Trail starts here too and runs down to Swan Lake State Park, south of Carroll.
